Berdimuhamedov discussed with the leadership of the fuel and energy complex the development of the gas industry in Mary region
Increasing gas production at the Galkynysh field, international cooperation in this area and promoting the role of Turkmenistan in the global energy segment - these aspects were discussed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at a working meeting with the leadership of the industry following his trip to Mary region.
Deputy Prime Minister for Fuel and Energy Complex Shahim Abdrakhmanov, as well as the Chairman of the State Corporation "Turkmengeologia" and the head of the State Concern "Turkmengaz" reported on the agenda of the meeting.
They discussed both the processes of modernization and digitalization of gas industry facilities, as well as the development of investments, the implementation of joint projects with foreign partners and the environmental side of production.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of geological exploration of areas promising for hydrocarbons, increasing research and scientific and technological potential in this area.
The discussion focused on the further development of the Galkynysh field, the development of an innovative industrial cluster on its basis.
Giving instructions to the leaders, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on studying the best world practice, introducing advanced methods and organizational approaches in the industry, training personnel through exchange of experience and partnership with leading foreign universities and research centers.
