Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kabul denied reports of acute situation on the border with Afghanistan
The diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has denied the reports of a number of media outlets about the clashes that took place on the Turkmen-Afghan border.
– Some media have published unconfirmed and unreliable information about the situation on the Turkmen-Afghan border.
Turkmenistan maintains good-neighborly relations with Afghanistan in accordance with the status of permanent neutrality, and the Turkmen-Afghan border is the border of friendship, - stated in the press the center of the embassy.
Afghan Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Kahar Balkhi also denied reports of an acute situation at the border
“There are no problems between us and our neighbor Turkmenistan, and we want to have diplomatic and friendly relations with friendly countries and all countries of the world,” Balkhi wrote on Twitter.
