Congratulations from Vienna: the head of the Austrian-Turkmen society hopes to meet in the near future

Dr. Neda Berger, the head of the Austrian-Turkmen society and a great friend of the ORIENT website, who sometimes acts as an author of publications, sent a New Year's greetings to the editorial office.
In her message, Neda Berger writes: "Despite the coronavirus epidemic in the world, it bypassed Turkmenistan, and the country celebrated all its significant dates at a high level: the 140th anniversary of the white marble capital of Ashgabat, the 30th anniversary of independence and the 26th anniversary of permanent neutrality."
In addition to these dates, the head of the Austrian-Turkmen Society noted major international events with the participation of Turkmenistan and those which took place in Turkmenistan. “I congratulate ORIENT on the coverage of all the events of the past year at a high professional level, which gives the readers of the site in many countries of the world the opportunity to constantly get acquainted with the latest news in the field of politics, economy, society, culture, sports of Turkmenistan!”.

May the New Year bring everyone health, happiness and prosperity, Neda Berger wished and expressed her hope that in 2022 Ashgabat and Vienna will hold joint events that were postponed the previous year due to the pandemic. And although some of them were transferred to the online format and the dialogue continued remotely, there were face-to-face meetings.
For example, in November 2021, an Austrian delegation headed by Foreign Minister Michael Linhart, who was received by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, paid a visit to Ashgabat. Neda Berger was also invited to participate in this high meeting. Then the Turkmen leader noted the successes that were achieved in joint work with the Austrian-Turkmen society on the implementation of projects in the cultural sphere.
In this context, Nede Berger assured that the Society will make every effort to bring the cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries to a new level and wished new meetings as soon as possible.
And she ended her New Year message with the words: “I want to end with lines from a poem by the President of Turkmenistan, which the head of state dedicated to preserving peace on our planet and which touched me very much:
Long live a peaceful life!
In the name of all that is sacred,
In the name of everything worldly,
In the name of everything earthly,
In the name of all living things,
In the name of everything divine,
In the name of everything human,
Stop, people!
