Turkmenistan and Turkey discuss the development of economic contacts


A second meeting of the Turkey-Turkmenistan Business Council was held via a videoconference, the press service of the Embassy of Turkey in Ashgabat informs.
During the talks, the Turkish side was represented by the Ambassador of Turkey to Ashgabat Togan Oral, the Head of Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey Nail Olpak, the Chairman of the Turkey-Turkmenistan Business Council Halil Avci and General Manager at Turkmen-Turkish Commercial Bank Kazım Gündoğar.
From the Turkmen side, the meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Dovletgeldi Rejepov, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Ankara Ishankuli Amanlyev, the Board member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan Tachmurad Gurdov.
The meeting participants reviewed the implementation of the decisions taken at the sixth meeting of the Turkey-Turkmenistan Intergovernmental Commission. An exchange of views took place on expanding trade, deepening cooperation in the fields of agriculture, construction, energy and healthcare.
The issue related to holding in Istanbul in 2021 a forum on cooperation in the energy sector was considered.
