More than fifty journalists from 82 countries are accredited for the Asian Games-2017
About 550 journalists from 82 countries take part in the coverage of the events of the Asian Games-2017 in Ashgabat. These days in the Turkmen capital there are reporters and film crews of national and domestic publications, observers and columnists.
Media contingent at the Games represents has even wider geography than sports, with representatives not only from Asia and Oceania, but also from Europe, America and Africa.
For example, one of the largest journalistic groups - 28 people - was delegated from the media of neighboring Afghanistan. Neighboring Iran also sent a large team of employees of the national press.
The media mission of the Russian Federation is also quite large - it includes federal and regional television companies, employees of international news agencies, sports magazines.
State agencies, socio-political editions and sports press, as well as regional offices of media corporations are represented by guests from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Moldova, Lithuania. Journalists from Bulgaria, Great Britain, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic and Romania are accredited from the European press in Ashgabat.
Games are covered by reporters from the United States, Japan, China, Chinese Taipei, Macau and Hong Kong, as well as Australia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Pakistan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, the Republic of Korea Mongolia, Bhutan, New Guinea, Maldives, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Syria, Morocco, Singapore, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Nepal, Cambodia and others.
Accepting journalists from dozens of countries, which, of course, are interested not only by competitions, but also by all that surrounds them, Turkmenistan shows its openness for communication and information exchange.
