Turkmenistan celebrated International Day of Neutrality


International Day of Neutrality was celebrated in Turkmenistan on Sunday. On the eve of the 26th anniversary of neutrality, Ashgabat hosted the Forum of Peace and Trust with the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, heads of international and regional organizations, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in the country and Turkmen envoys abroad.

Today, delegates of the forum and guests of honor of the Turkmen capital laid flowers at the Monument of Neutrality. The ceremony was opened by the Turkmen leader - the ceremonial wreath from the head of state was the first to decorate the foot of the monument.

Also, the President of Turkmenistan gave an official reception in honor of the holiday. At the ceremony, Berdimuhamedov made a speech and recited his new poem. He called it "Long live a peaceful life!"

This is an appeal to humanity to end wars and to establish peace and trust on earth as the basis for the well-being and happiness of people. All "peoples are one tribe", the author calls for such an understanding of the world.

During the reception, songs in different languages were sung by Turkmen pop stars, including hits of past years, groovy rhythms which made to rise respectable officials and diplomats who joined the dance circle. Songs written by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov were also performed.

Representatives of the diplomatic community, well-known creative figures of the country spoke at the event with festive congratulations on the occasion of International Day of Neutrality.
