Student from Turkmenistan won art contest in Turkey
Student from Turkmenistan became a winner of the contest of imagination of Turkey through the art, embraced the international studentship community.
The competition under the motto “My Country My Turkey” was held from 1 August till 31 November 2017 and attracted over hundreds of students. The awarding ceremony took place on 22 December in Chamber of Commerce of Ankara and attended by several high officials.
Our compatriot Aziz Jahanov won second place with his short film "We are One Nation”.
The first and third places were awarded to representatives of Kyrgyzstan Manasbeg Maksudov and Syed Fouzon Ishaqui from India correspondingly.
The competition was organized by Turkey's Federation of International Student Associations (UDEF) for foreign students. It was held in the short film, poetry and short story categories. The participants were judged by Justice and Development Party Deputy Chairman Ravza Kavakçı, a number of this party’s lawmakers and head of Ankara Chamber of Commerce Gürsel Baran.
Over 114,000 international students from 203 countries are studying in Turkey, said Mehmet Ali Bolat, head of UDEF. The project is aimed at demonstrating how foreign students fill about Turkey and at expressing their achievements during stay there.
The winners in other categories are students from Burkina Faso, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Syria, Nigeria.
