Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree on transfer to the reserve and on conscription
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree “On the dismissal from the Armed Forces, other troops and military bodies of Turkmenistan of military personnel doing military service by conscription, and the next conscription of citizens of Turkmenistan for military service”. The Decree instructs to dismiss from the Armed Forces, other troops and military bodies of Turkmenistan military personnel doing military service by conscription, who have served the terms established in the Law of Turkmenistan “On military duty and military service”, as well as to call up for military service in April-June 2021, male citizens of Turkmenistan aged 18 to 27 years by the day of conscription and who have lost the right to a deferment of military service. In addition, Berdimuhamedov ordered to reword for excellence in combat and social and humanitarian training, retiring to the reserve. The fulfillment of this order is entrusted to the Minister of Defense, Minister of Internal Affairs, Minister of National Security, Chief of the State Border Service, Chief of the Security Service of the President of Turkmenistan and Chairman of the State Migration Service.
