Ashgabat and Ankara intend to bring trade turnover to $ 5 billion per year


Following the talks between the presidents of Turkmenistan and Turkey in Ashgabat, the leaders of the two countries signed a joint statement of 9 points. As reported by the “Anadolu» agency, within the framework of the negotiations, the parties agreed to bring the joint trade turnover to $ 5 billion a year.
During the press conference, the President of Turkey congratulated the Turkmen people on the 30th anniversary of gaining independence. Berdimuhamedov awarded his colleague with the state award of Turkmenistan. Erdogan called his award an indicator of developing ties between Turkmenistan and Turkey.

Erdogan said Ankara will continue to actively support Turkmenistan's neutrality status.
“We also welcome the recognition of brotherly Turkmenistan's observer status in the Organization of Turkic States,” the Turkish President said and expressed hope that the results of the current visit will serve the interests of the two countries.
Recall that Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Ashgabat as part of a two-day visit, the Turkish president will take part on Sunday, November 28, in the 15th summit of the heads of state of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states.
