The President of Turkmenistan met the head of Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the meeting with head of Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov touched upon several issues on further deepening of interaction of two Caspian states.
The official press in its report by tradition designated all list of hypothetical vectors of cooperation from which, based on modern realities, it is possible to distinguish political, trade and economic, transport-communication and, certainly, fuel and energy spheres.
The last sector of interaction in recent months gains in strength after the Memorandum of mutual understanding between the governments of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan on joint investigation was signed in January, this year, development and development of hydro carbon resources of once disputable deposit "Dostluk". Resources of the Caspian sea, as known, are rich with stocks of hydrocarbons not only in the shelf zones of both states, but also lengthways of certain sea borders which for the present have not been yet fully determined.
On scientific and technical, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres standardly designated in the evening release of news of Turkmen television, during the present period of the pandemic one is to speak, using a grammatical category of future time.
Certainly that both countries have favourable geo-economic (as well as geostrategic) position that guarantees high efficiency for joint efforts on partnership development in transport-logistical sphere. And, not only for two states, but also at the regional level at the expense of the huge potential put in the sphere of transit services that, in general, was also designated during the reception.
And what is else for both Caspian countries perspective, so it is the deepening of relations between businessmen which gained more progress in recent years. Though businessmen on either side of the Caspian sea got received popularity in wide circles even before Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan go independence, however their activity by authorities of former times was especially encouraged. Nevertheless, today they are attached a great value from the governments in the development of trade and economic relations, first of all, with the countries-neighbours.
