The USA consider as a full withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan by May 1 and other variants, informs TV channel Tolo News referring to the letter of the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to president of the republic Ashraf Ghani. « As our policy process continues in Washington, The United States has not ruled out any option. We are considering the full withdrawal of our forces by May 1st, as we consider other options,” as the document reads. The message suggests that the UN should convene a meeting of foreign ministers and envoys from Russia, China, Pakistan, Iran, and India to discuss a unified approach to supporting peace in Afghanistan. Besides it, Washington says «Turkey will be asked to host a senior-level meeting of both sides in the coming weeks to finalize a peace agreement». Earlier the Pentagon stated that the Administration of the USA president Joe Biden supports the plan to pull out troops from Afghanistan. Washington is ready to leave the country by May if the Taliban movement fulfil the conditions of the agreement in force. The Taliban, in turn, underline fulfilment of the arrangements signed with the USA. In 2020 in Qatar the USA and the Taliban signed the first for more than 18 years of war the agreement on peace which provides withdrawal of foreign armies from Afghanistan for 14 months and the beginning of the Inter-Afghani dialogue after the deal on exchange of captives. Ashkhabad is “vitally” interested in restoration of peace in Afghanistan as the Turkmen gas mega project depends, construction of the gas pipeline Turkmenistan- Afghanistan - Pakistan - India on it. According to experts, realisation of this project will allow Ashkhabad to diversify gas export, will give necessary means for solution of social issues in Kabul, and also will allow Islamabad and Delhi to cover the deficit of energy resources.
