Regions of Turkmenistan and Ashgabat will celebrate Novruz locally

The regions of Turkmenistan and the city of Ashgabat will locally hold festive events to celebrate the Novruz Spring Holiday on March 21-22, as well as a mass trees planting campaign on March 20. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said this at a Cabinet meeting via a video link on Friday. “In view of the current situation, each velayat and the city of Ashgabat will hold locally the trees planting campaign and the international spring holiday Novruz Bayram”, the head of state said. Traditionally, the picturesque Novruz Valley east of Ashgabat was the venue for the festive events to celebrate Novruz with the participation of representatives of all regions of the country.
