20 documents were signed following Tokayev's visit to Turkmenistan


Within the framework of the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan, bilateral negotiations were held in an expanded format. Following the meeting, a ceremony of signing documents between the heads of the two countries took place. In total, during the visit, 20 documents were signed, covering almost all areas of multifaceted Turkmen-Kazakh interaction, the website of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
Important documents were signed to further expand cooperation in the fields of transport, transit traffic, statistics, science and culture, television and radio broadcasting, agriculture and environmental protection.

The leaders of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan adopted a Joint Statement, which reflects the main results of the summit meeting, identifies promising areas for further strengthening the Turkmen-Kazakh strategic partnership, demonstrating a commitment to the spirit of good-neighborliness and mutually beneficial cooperation.
Among them are the Agreement on the delimitation of the Turkmen-Kazakh state border and the delimitation of adjacent sections of fishing zones in the Caspian Sea, the Agreement on cooperation in the field of civil defense, prevention and elimination of emergencies, the Agreement on the organization of the exchange of preliminary information on goods and vehicles moved between countries, Agreement of intent for the construction of a cable border crossing and the docking of infocommunication telecommunication networks of “Jusan Mobile” JSC and TC "Turkmentelecom" on the border of Turkmenistan - the Republic of Kazakhstan.
