Prospects of cooperation with Turkmenistan were discussed in the Senate of France

Issues of development of inter-parliamentary dialogue were discussed in the Senate of France by head of the Turkmen diplomatic mission in Paris Shohrat Jumayev and French Senate's France-Central Asia Friendship Group, Senator Herve Morey. The ambassador informed the French senators on the constitutional reforms in Turkmenistan and creation of the bicameral parliament, economic possibilities and social transformations in the country. During the conversation they also considered bilateral cooperation in trade and economic, culture and educational spheres. Herve Morey on behalf of the Senate of France expressed the interest in strengthening of relations with Turkmenistan, activization of inter-parliamentary contacts, including through the organisation of mutual visits of delegations and other joint actions. More in detail these issues will be considered in the near future at the following meeting of the ambassador with full structure of the France-Central Asia Friendship Group. In conclusion of the conversation the French senators were presented with the book by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Turkmenistan - heart of the Great Silk road” in French.
