Tokayev will visit Turkmenistan on October 24-25


President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay a state visit to Turkmenistan on October 24-25 on the invitation of Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, press secretary of the head of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Uali informed on Friday.
Within the framework of the visit, negotiations will be held between the heads of state in narrow and expanded formats, and it is planned to sign a number of bilateral documents.
The agenda of the meeting includes a discussion of the prospects for deepening Turkmen-Kazakh relations in the trade-economic, transit-transport and cultural-humanitarian spheres, the report says.
Earlier, Vice Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Asset Magauov noted the country's interest in joining efforts with official Ashgabat in the oil and gas sector, and the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced the intention to increase the export of a number of goods to Iran via Turkmenistan by rail.
