The first gold in the treasury of the Turkmen kurash team
On the second day of the kurash competitions among men, Marat Orazov (66 kg) brought the first gold medal in this sport to the national team of Turkmenistan, defeating compatriot Nedir Allaberdyev with a result of 5-0. On the way to victory, Marat had fights with kurashists from Lebanon, Afghanistan and Tajikistan. Silver in this weight category went to Nedir. And the bronze was taken by Muhammet Temirov (81 kg). Among the women of our kurash team, Maral Sultanova (63 kg) and Maria Lokhova (70 kg) showed the best result - they have silver. Bronze medals were won by Nasiba Hallyeva (70 kg), Orazgul Seyidova (78 kg), Gozel Karimbaeva (78 kg) and Gulshat Nasyrova (63 kg). In the medal standings in kurash, Uzbekistan is expected to lead, with 4 gold and 1 bronze medal. The second place in the list is occupied by the Chinese Taipei with 2 gold and 2 silver medals. The Turkmen national team is located on the third line, having on its account 1 gold, 5 silver and 7 bronze medals. The final kurash competitions will begin on September 22 at 10:00.
