International Russian language competition has been announced


Moscow has begun accepting applications for participation in the annual International Russian Language Festival. Foreign schoolchildren, starting from the seventh grade, who study the Russian language, are invited to participate in the event.
The International Russian Language Festival will be held in Moscow in three stages: the remote qualifying round from April 20 to June 1; the final round from September 1 to October 1, and as part of the Time to Start Dialogue Forum in November-December. Applications for participation in the competition will be accepted until April 20.
The annual International Russian Language Festival is an educational and creative platform for foreign students, which makes it possible to improve their language proficiency and show their talent in creativity.
The festival programme includes seven competitions: “Theatrical creativity”, “Artistic word”, “Children’s and youth cinema and television”, “Choreographic creativity”, “Vocal and choral creativity”, “Modern decorative-applied art and fine arts”, “Experts in the Russian language, history and culture”.
The final face-to-face event as part of the Time to Start Dialogue International Youth Forum in November-December will be held in the event that the current restrictions associated with the coronavirus pandemic are mitigated or canceled. To take part in the festival, the applicants are asked to fill in a registration form on the website of the Moscow Center for Education Quality, which can be found in the section “International Activities”.
