The rivals of the junior team of Turkmenistan were determined at the World Cup in basketball 3x3, which will be held from 3 to 7 June 2019 in Ulan Bator (Mongolia).
As a result of the draw, the Turkmen team will play against the national teams of Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and the Dominican Republic.
The competitors in the group are strong, but our athletes have significantly increased their skill in recent years. There is no doubt that they will perform with dignity and compete with rivals, the Basketball Federation of Turkmenistan said.
As for the host of the tournament - Mongolia, its basketball players are the best team in Asia.
President of the Mongolian Basketball Association 3x3 Luvsandorzh Myagmarzhav said that for his country to take the World Championship is a great honor, because basketball 3x3 in their country is a national sport.
The National Basketball League of Turkmenistan withdrew from a short leave, due to the end of the first round of the championship.
The tournament resumed with the match “Gurlushikchi” - “Lachin”, which ended with a confident victory for the team of the Ministry of Construction - 81:58.
The “Lachin” youth provided decent resistance to the leader throughout the entire match, but the most memorable were the starting minutes. Wards Rashid Kayumov took the lead with a gap of eight points, taking advantage of the initial relaxation of the opponent.
The bitter struggle continued the first two quarters, which, though ended in the advantage of Gurlushikchi, was only one point.
After a long break, the “builders” began to rapidly gain points, almost all the shots flew into the rival's ring - one by one.
The gap from “Lachin” increased and increased, the “yellow ones” pleased the fans with a beautiful game, and Toili Bayryev scored several spectacular three-pointers, which became the decoration of this match.
