What do women think about? The Turkmen women artists to tell it

The central Ashgabat gallery of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan hosts an exhibition of works by women artists of the country dedicated to the International Women’s Day.
The exhibition includes portraits, still life, landscapes and compositions in a variety of styles and techniques. Painting, graphics, ceramics, sculpture, tapestries and unusual installations at the fusion of genres – all these types of fine arts presented at the exhibition describe the world of a woman, her aspirations, creative searches, and reflections.
What are they about? Of course, about love, about children, about what constitutes our everyday life, and about those things that ennoble, elevate and give meaning, without which there is no beauty, warmth, soul, and faith.
Each work has its own story. Someone has a philosophical parable, a confidential story, while others have a funny humorous or lyrical impromptu.
There are pictures of dreams, there are works of fantasy, but even in the wildest projections, women authors are not distant from reality. Apparently, the genetic instinct of the keeper of the hearth and the world also affects here.
The people, flowers, objects, as well as colors, forms, lines are heroes of the plots. The main thing is that behind all this, there is a sincere recognition and a vocation to be a woman.
The exhibition is open to visit until March 12.
