Turkmenistan will launch a production of drones for the national economy

President Berdimuhamedov assigned to establish the production of domestic drones for effective use in various sectors of the national economy during a visit to the Center for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, TDH reports.
In the coverage of Vatan TV program, there were shown drones that are already being produced in the country for the needs of the military and law enforcement agencies. In the future, they can be adapted for use in agriculture, construction, emergency medical services, etc.
The UAV Center under the Ministry of Internal Affairs produces the microchips of drones and creates their body using 3D printing. To expand the range of activities, several more facilities will be built on the territory of the Center: hangars for flight and automotive equipment, control points for drones, an observation post, and an electric substation.
The President commissioned Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who recently took up a post of the new Deputy Prime Minister and at the same time Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber with the inclusion in the State Security Council, to monitor the development of this sphere and the introduction of digital technologies in the military and law enforcement agencies.
The development of the UAV manufacturing sector is in line with the government’s long-term strategy to digitalize various sectors of the national economy. The UAV Center, subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has accumulated enough experience to expand the range of activities and will facilitate the implementation of the recently adopted State Program for the Development of the Digital Economy of Turkmenistan until 2025.
