An ensemble of Mexican folk music to be held in Turkmenistan


The ensemble of Mexican folk music mariachi "Mariachi Champaña Nevín" will present their work in Turkmenistan. With the support of the Ministry of Culture of the country and the US Embassy, the musicians will hold a series of concerts in the cities of Balkanabat, Turkmenbashi and Ashgabat.
In Balkanabat, virtuosos will perform on March 26 at the State Drama Theater, in Turkmenbashi the concert will be held on March 27 at the cultural and sports complex of the TKNPZ.
The ensemble will arrive in the Turkmen capital on March 29. The musicians will give a joint performance with the creative group "Ashgabat" in the concert hall "Vatan".
In Turkmenistan, the famous ensemble under the direction of trumpet player, composer, professor and author Jeff Nevin will present works of traditional Mexican music and stylization of classical melodies.
Mariachi Champaña Nevín is a unique ensemble consisting of world-class musicians. It embodies the ideals of traditional Mexican music and European classics. During the performances of virtuosos, the Turkmen people will be able to familiarize themselves with the national motifs of distant Mexico and to join its rich musical heritage.
