300th birthday of Magtymguly will be celebrated with a large-scale program of events

Turkmenistan is preparing for the stately celebration in 2024of the 300th birthday of great classic of the East, poet and philosopher Magtymguly Pyragy. An organizing committee was created for this purpose, which members have been approved by the President of Turkmenistan today. The scheduled events will be aimed at studying and popularizing the heritage of Magtymguly, his influence on the formation of spiritual and literary thought in the East, drawing the worldwide attention to his work and the very phenomenal personality of the poet, who played a huge role in Turkmen culture.
