Turkmenistan participated in a multilateral ministerial meeting on Afghanistan
Turkmenistan designated the positions on Afghanistan in the multilateral ministerial videoconference on the current situation in this country.
Heads of Ministries of Foreign Affairs of more than 20 countries and senior representatives of the UN, the EU and NATO participated in the meeting held at the initiative of the chief diplomats of the USA and Germany. The main attention at the online briefing was concentrated on efforts on expansion of international cooperation on Afghanistan.
As it was stated at the conference, according to the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for Turkmenistan as the countries neighbours, the issue of stability and safety in Afghanistan has direct influence and value from the political, economic and humanitarian points of view.
Noting importance of creation of new formats of partnership across Afghanistan, the Turkmen party emphasized need of establishment of the effective mechanisms of multilateral interaction directed to achievement of peace and civil consent in this country, safety and social stability, wellbeing of the Afghan people.
