Another post of the Deputy Prime Minister was established at the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

The President of Turkmenistan introduced into the Government the post of another Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers with a membership in the State Security Council and the appointment as Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber. The head of state appointed Serdar Berdimuhamedov to this position, relieving him of the post of Minister of Industry and Construction Production. The new Deputy Prime Minister will also be responsible for digitalization and the introduction of innovative technologies into the public administration system, the financial, economic social sectors. According to the Presidential Decree on the new position, a Control Department will be established at the Cabinet of Ministers.
