Special representatives of the countries-neighbours of Afghanistan held negotiations


Special representatives of Turkmenistan, Iran, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan carried out on Sunday a videoconference on Afghanistan, having discussed the situation in the neighbouring country.
Participants of the meeting exchanged opinions on the current situation in Afghanistan and to efforts of international community, and also the countries of the region in expansion of cooperation on the Afghan perspective, reports the site of foreign policy department of Turkmenistan.
Deputy Minister of foreign affairs Vepa Hajiyev who noted value of regional consolidation in assistance to the solution of the issues of strengthening of stability connected among themselves, security and sustainable development of Afghanistan spoke on behalf of Turkmenistan at the meeting.
Turkmenistan seeks to make a practical contribution to peace processes and restoration of Afghanistan through implementation of large-scale social and economic projects in the field of energy, transport and communications.
The Turkmen party also declared intention to continue to give humanitarian and food help to inhabitants of the borders of Afghan areas.
All participants of virtual negotiations agreed that peace in Afghanistan is extremely important for safety and stability of the region.
Special representatives of the countries neighbours of Afghanistan agreed to continue contacts on the Afghan subject.
