Young athletes are calling to join their ranks
Ashgabat shopping center Berkarar hosted a sports event under the auspices of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan, as well as the Youth Organization of the country. Thus, the organizers expected to attract additional groups of adolescents to regular sports activities.
Young athletes demonstrated to the audience, many of whom came with their families, demonstration performances in various sport disciplines - jiu-jitsu, judo, combat sambo, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, etc.
First on the carpet came the followers of the South Korean martial art of Hapkido. Pupils of the sports school №15 demonstrated the main elements of this type of martial arts - the methods of self-defense, holding and control of the opponent's power, the ability to predict its actions and at the same time hide their ideas, etc.
Nurberdi Meredov, a teacher of Turkmen Hapkido followers, told ORIENT that such events provide an opportunity for his wards to reveal their potential and, most importantly, to attract even more people to go in for sports. After all, he once happened to meet Hapkido by chance, and now, having become a master, he has been teaching children to this art of Korean martial arts for more than ten years.
And such performances of quite young athletes teach them to control their emotions and excitement in front of the audience, no matter how small they are...
