Turkmenistan will become a member of the Islamic Trade Finance Corporation


During the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Berdimuhamedov informed about the country's accession to the Islamic Trade Finance Corporation of the Islamic Development Bank.

The head of state noted the effectiveness of Turkmenistan's interaction with international financial institutions, including the IDB and its structural divisions.
The President signed a relevant Order and instructed the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs to register membership in the Islamic Trade Finance Corporation, IDB.

The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The purpose of the corporation is to promote trade relations between the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
