From petroleum products to licorice – what was to contract at the Turkmen exchange during the week


The result of export deals at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the first week of February totaled to more than $ 33.4 million and 91.2 million manat. Oil products, cotton yarn, urea, and glass were the main subjects of export contracts. Weaving yarn was purchased by Russia, Turkey, UAE, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Scotland. Another deal for sheet glass was for Uzbekistan, which buy it on regular basis. Premium grade Urea was purchased by Great Britain, motor gasoline A-95 and aviation kerosene – by the United Arab Emirates. Cyprus also purchased aviation kerosene. Batches of another refined product – heavy vacuum gas oil used as a feedstock for catalytic cracking in order to isolate light distillates and broad oil fractions – were procured by Afghanistan and Switzerland. The Turkish business was interested in Turkmen licorice – 21 tons of dried roots and rootstocks of this medicinal plant, recognized by European scientists as an effective way to treat the COVID-19 virus, were purchased.
