Chinese CNPC will receive 51 more billion cubic metres of Turkmen gas within the limits of the new project


The Chinese National Petroleum Corporation CNPC will receive to 51 billion cubic metres of gas from Turkmenistan in exchange for the help in extraction increase in its huge deposit of Galkynysh, writes on Monday Reuters.
Today the ceremony of start of the project has taken place. As was informed ORIENT the Chinese company CNPC Chuanging Drilling Engineering Company Limited won the tender for building of three new wells at super huge gas deposit of international classification in Mary region of Turkmenistan.
The capacity of each well is about 3 million cubic metres of gas a day. The project of their building is designed for 30 months. According to earlier concluded agreements, the payment for the service of the Chinese company will be carried out through annual delivery to the People’s Republic of China 17 billion cubic metres of blue fuel within three years.
China already is the basic market for Turkmen gas though the country also sells the limited volumes to Russia and works over the pipeline by which its gas will be delivered to Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.
