Turkmen boxer - bronze medalist of international tournament in Iran
A boxer from Turkmenistan Nuryagdy Nuryagdyev won a bronze medal in the weight category of 81 kg at the international boxing tournament for men “Makran Box Cup”, held in the Iranian city of Chabahar from February 22 to 27.
Student of the National Institute of Sports and Tourism of Turkmenistan Nurigdy Nuryagdyev is a multiple winner of the national championships, a bronze medalist of the Asian Championship 2017, as well as the winner of the “silver” of the Asian Youth Championship 2016.
The Makran Box Cup, which brought together about a hundred boxers from 8 countries of the world - Kazakhstan, Hungary, the Philippines, India and others, serves as a preparation for the 2019 Asian Championship, which will be held in April in Bangkok (Thailand). Turkmenistan at the tournament was represented by 8 athletes.
