UAE Ambassador discussed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan the possibility of participation of the country's President in EXPO 2020

UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahmed Alhay Al-Hameli, who took up his duties last week, met on Monday with Deputy Foreign Minister Berdyniyaz Myatiev at the headquarters of diplomatic office in Ashgabat.
Al-Hameli emphasized the depth of relations between the UAE and Turkmenistan in all areas, praising the cooperation, friendship and historical ties between the two friendly countries, which is reflected in the growing partnership in all areas, reports the Emirati news agency WAM.
Myatiev, in turn, also praised the strong ties between the two countries and constructive interaction at all levels. He wished the Ambassador success in his work, stressing the readiness of the country's government to provide all kinds of support for the fulfillment of his tasks.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to expand the dialogue and a number of other issues of common interest, as well as the possibility of participation of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in EXPO 2020 Dubai.
The matter, apparently, is about the possible participation of the Turkmen leader in the opening ceremony of the world exhibition, as it was in 2017 at the EXPO 2017 in Astana, or in the opening of the national pavilion of Turkmenistan, as it was at EXPO 2017 in Milan or EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, when the country first presented its exposition at a universal forum.

The world's greatest show - the largest international event bringing together 192 countries in the pandemic condition - EXPO 2020 in Dubai starts in 45 days on October 1, 2021 and runs through March 31, 2022.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition with the participation of invited distinguished guests is scheduled for September 30. National Day of Turkmenistan is scheduled for October 9.
