China is in favor of strengthening international partnership in the fight against desertification. As an important step in this direction, Beijing is compiling a list of the technology and technical needs of countries along the Great Silk Road. In addition, the Celestial Empire intends to send about $ 2 million to protect the transport arteries from the sand in 8 countries of Central Asia and Africa. According to Xinhua, this was announced at the second meeting of the Presidium of the 13th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) held in the PRC. The UNCCD Secretariat considers desertification to be one of the most serious problems of our time. Due to desertification, 23 hectares of land are lost every minute in the world, and the daily economic damage from this is 1.3 billion US dollars. The session noted China’s experience gained from the implementation of major environmental projects such as the creation of protective forest belts, the elimination of sources of sand-dust storms that hit Beijing and Tianjin, and the restoration of forests and meadows on former arable lands. Earlier, NASA, in its report, recognized China and India as leaders of the global “greening”. According to him, thanks to China, there are 25% more trees in the world. According to the UN 2030 Agenda, “zero land degradation” should be achieved at the global level by 2030. Turkmenistan pays great attention to the implementation of the National Forest Program. Three million trees are planted in the country every year. Monitoring of planting and care of trees planted in the framework of the planting company is carried out at the state level.
