Dubai is to form a COVID-19 vaccine distribution alliance

Dubai has announced the establishment of an alliance to accelerate the distribution of two billion doses of coronavirus vaccines in developing countries under the COVAX program. This was reported in a press release from the government of the emirate. “The Emirate of Dubai is launching a new global initiative that will involve the Emirates Airline, Dubai Ports World, Dubai airports and International Humanitarian City to transport, store and quickly distribute the vaccine around the world”, the report says. As noted, much attention will be paid to developing countries, where residents are most affected by the pandemic, as well as countries that are facing transportation problems. Each member of the forming alliance has a set of specific logistic capabilities that make it possible to comprehensively address vaccine distribution problems.
