Eight billiard-players from Turkmenistan participate in the World Championships in the combined pyramid among women and men, which started on February 26 in Khanty-Mansiysk (Russia).
The tournament received over one hundred strongest cue masters from 24 countries. The Russians had the largest number of participants in this championship. Among them, world champion Semyon Zaitsev, bronze medalist of the 2017 World Cup Pavel Plotnikov and others.
At last year’s world championship in the free pyramid in Tyumen, Turkmen billiards became the main sensation of the tournament and were among the ten best billiard players in the world.
Championship will last until March 2nd.
The main thing in the combined pyramid, which is one of the varieties of the game of Russian billiards, is to score eight points before your opponent. For each ball correctly pocketed, a player is awarded one point. It uses a standard set of sixteen billiard balls.
