Central Asian Economic Forum defines the investment contour of the region


The Central Asian Economic Forum was held in Avaza in the framework of the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of the region.
The forum took place at the “Avaza” congress center and included a plenary session and thematic consultations in full-time and in absentia, simultaneously with the participation of representatives of the public and private sectors, international and regional financial institutions.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, heads of financial and economic departments of Kazakhstan - Asset Irgaliev, Kyrgyzstan - Akylbek Zhaparov, Tajikistan - Zavkizoda Zavki Amin, Uzbekistan - Sardor Umurzakov spoke in the section on trade, economic and investment potential.
The prospects for cooperation in the energy and chemical sectors of the Central Asian countries were considered separately. The positions and capabilities of their countries in this aspect were presented by the Deputy Chairman of “KazMunayGas” OJSC Daniyar Tiyesov, Minister of Energy and Industry of Kyrgyzstan Doskul Bekmurzaev, Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan Juma Daler Shofakir, Chairman of OJSC “Uzkimyosanoat” Shurabek Mirzamakhmudov and Head of the State Concern “Turkmenkhimiya” Niyazly Niyazlyev.
Within the framework of the Central Asian Economic Forum, a transport conference was also held with the participation of relevant ministers - Berik Kamaliev from Kazakhstan, Gulmira Abdralieva from Kyrgyzstan, Ibragim Azim from Tajikistan and Ilkhom Makhkamov from Uzbekistan. The host of the forum was presented by General Director of the OJSC “Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan” Baimyrat Atayev.
In addition to developing measures to attract investment in topical joint projects in these areas, proposals for enhancing e-commerce and other areas were discussed.
At the end of the forum, the members of the delegations held business meetings, which resulted in the signing of 85 agreements.
On August 6, Avaza hosted the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, the first Dialogue of Women Leaders of the Region's countries, the Economic Forum of Central Asian Countries, and the International Exhibition of Central Asian Goods. In the evening, the Exhibition of Traditional Foods will open and a festive concert of masters of culture and art from the countries of the region will take place.
