Heads of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed trade and economic cooperation


On August 6, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the head of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov in Avaza, according to the official website of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In the framework of the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, the leaders of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation. Special emphasis was placed on trade and economic cooperation.
Berdimuhamedov and Japarov discussed the implementation of the agreements reached earlier during the official visit of the head of the Kyrgyz Republic to Ashgabat, including the export of natural gas and electricity from Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan.
Japarov stressed the relevance of holding the next summit of the heads of state of Central Asia in Avaza, taking into account the emergence of common issues for joint discussion and solution.
