Drifting track opened at Turkmenistan Motor Sports Center


Drifting fans can now practice driving skills at a new venue built at the Motor Sports Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, located in the Choganly district in northern Ashgabat.
Now Turkmen drifters will be able to hone their skills in the conditions of the highest level, which will allow them in the near future to compete on equal terms with the best representatives of this spectacular technical discipline.
Drifting is an extreme type of motor racing, in which the driver’s task is to turn with a skid at high speed and control the sliding process for the maximum possible time.
On February 23, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the circuit, TDH reports. The head of state got acquainted with samples of racing cars that had recently been put into the disposal of the autosport complex.
On the sports car of the Japanese brand Nissan, the head of state tried out a new drift platform, demonstrating high class driving skills.
