UIET members systematically increase export of tomatoes
According to the statics of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, local private enterprises on the average double every year volumes of export of tomatoes.
2020 was not also an exception, despite strong influence of trading restrictions connected with COVID-19 pandemic. During this period 37, 5 thousand tons of tomatoes that is almost by 90 % more as compared with 2019, were sent abroad.
Thus for the first half of the year 2021 delivery of Turkmen tomatoes abroad has overcome the mark of 50 thousand tons that is by 12,5 tons more than for the entire past year.
For private exporters 2019 was especially successful. Then the growth of deliveries of tomatoes as compared with 2018 made up 185, 7 %.
Businessmen actively work over development of greenhouse economy in the country. Now the perspective projects directed to increase of manufacture of fruit and berries in hothouse conditions are realised.
