TurkmenEnergo to increase the reliability of the power supply of the country
In order to strengthen the reliability of the power supply system of the country, the TurkmenEnergo State Electric Energy Corporation will purchase equipment, materials and vehicles abroad. The Corporation is allowed to the previously concluded contracts on procurement of material and technical resources for the construction of Ahal-Balkan and Balkan-Dashoguz high-voltage transmission lines and stations, to conclude additional agreements with foreign companies. The Turkmen power engineers are planning to commission this year the first stage of the country’s ring energy system in the above mentioned sections. At the end of last year, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov severely reprimanded industry heads for power outages overnight.
