Growth in production of key agricultural products recorded in Turkmenistan

The production of demanded agricultural products in Turkmenistan is steadily increasing, according to the data of the State Statistics Committee of the country.
In the first half of 2021, local farmers grew 9.5% more vegetables and 1.5% more watermelons, melons and gourds compared to the same period of the last year.
During the same period, apple production increased by 9.1%. Local farmers have grown by 3.4% more berries and fruit in all farms of the country.
The private sector also makes a significant contribution to the development of agriculture in the country. The country's entrepreneurs who receive land plots for long-term use grow not only traditional for Turkmenistan agricultural crops, but also exotic ones, which contributes to their import substitution.
