Entrepreneurs contribute to the development of the food industry in Turkmenistan


The food industry is developing at a faster pace in Turkmenistan, according to the data of the State Statistics Committee of the country.
In January-June of this year, good indicators were achieved in the development of production of many types of products that are in demand on the domestic and foreign markets.
The production of mineral waters and soft drinks in Turkmenistan increased by 28% as compared to six months of 2020. In the first half of 2021, the production of a wide range of dairy products increased by 13.1%.
During the indicated period, the country's enterprises also increased the production of confectionery products by 10.8%, and sausages - by 7.2%.
Members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the country, who regularly commission new enterprises for the production of competitive products, make a significant contribution to the development of the food industry in Turkmenistan.
As previously reported, in the first half of 2021, significant progress was made by the private sector in the fishing industry as well. The production of processed fish products and canned fish in Turkmenistan in January-June this year increased by 44.4% as compared to the same period of the last year.
