"Turkmen White Yurt" opened in Dashoguz - a symbol and multi-format platform

Housewarming took place in new residential buildings in Dashoguz today and a large concert arena "Turkmen White Yurt" was solemnly opened. President Berdimuhamedov took part in the ceremonies timed to celebration of Kurban Bayram in Turkmenistan, and delivered a celebratory speech and congratulations upon arrival at the airport of the administrative center of the northern region.

The “White Yurt” in Dashoguz closed the circle of symbolic buildings, which it was decided to build in the form of a traditional Turkmen dwelling, but scaled many times over, in all regions of the country.
A week ago, the head of state opened a similar building called "Turkmenin ak oyi" in Balkanabat.

Previously, similar structures appeared in Akhal, Mary and Lebap. That is, in each region there are now centers of mass celebrations identical in appearance, which should also become centers of the cultural life of the regions with educational and creative functions. This is the task that the President of the country sets for their teams.

The Dashoguz "White Yurt" was built by the private company "Rovshen". The dome of the round building is located at a height of 40 meters, and its diameter is 80 meters. The total area of the building is 21 thousand square meters. Its main arena in the form of an amphitheater with a stage is designed for three thousand spectators. The manege provides for the possibility of equestrian performances, which traditionally accompany major celebrations in Turkmenistan.

Externally the multi-format concert venue repeats the smooth outlines of the yurt and the features of its structures, the motives of its decor are reflected in the architectural design and expressive elements, such as the image of the carpet curtain over the entrance. For the Turkmen, the woven curtain that used to curtain the entrance to the dwelling distinguishes from all carpet items by the artistic decoration style. Its pictorial line emphasized the sanctity of the hearth, symbolically placed at the center of the universe.

A separate building for ritual ceremonies has been built nearby - the most significant events in the country usually end with a collective meal. This centuries-old custom today not only has not lost its value, but even acquired a new content and frame.
