The Government of India plans to supply the coronavirus vaccine to neighboring countries, including Afghanistan, media inform. According to press reports, the shipment of the vaccine will be donated to Afghanistan as a goodwill gesture. Mass vaccination against COVID-19 started in India last Saturday. The country’s authorities have approved the use of two locally produced vaccines. Afghanistan is also considering the possibility of receiving the Russian Sputnik V vaccine. Russian diplomats told the press that the Afghan party is currently negotiating specific conditions and quantities of possible supplies with the relevant Russian institutions. It should be reminded that yesterday the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan registered the Sputnik V vaccine and issued the relevant certificate for use in the country.
