Due to the sharp rise in temperature in Turkmenistan, the movement of rail and air transport was limited. Relevant announcements have appeared on the website of Railways OJSC and in the Saray application, through which Turkmen citizens can order air tickets.
The restrictions affected flights that are operated in the middle of the day, when the air warms up more. The movement of train No. 95, which followed the Ashgabat-Amu Darya route, has been completely stopped, according to the website of the railway company of Turkmenistan.
The temperature in the country is expected to rise to +47 degrees this week, setting a new record for the month in the entire history of meteorological observations. In connection with the forecasts voiced, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at a government meeting last Friday instructed the government to take all measures necessary to protect health of citizens during this period.
It will be recalled that by the end of the week, a sharp drop in temperature is expected in Turkmenistan - up to +35 degrees.
