Stable immunity to coronavirus will appear in humans by the end of 2021
At a special event dedicated to the fight against the pandemic, the World Health Organization experts noted that, despite vaccination, we should expect the appearance of herd immunity in all inhabitants of the planet no earlier than the last quarter of this year.
Currently, WHO headquarters is analyzing the situation in Europe, where the authorities are trying to control the second wave of the pandemic and prevent the transition to the third. The situation in Ireland, Great Britain and Portugal is described as the most difficult.
According to medical reports in the Republic of Ireland, the number of infected people has increased many times over the past twenty days. These figures are associated with a new strain of the virus infection, which is already called British. To stop the exponential increase in the number of infected people was possible only with the help of lockdown, which is predicted to last about a month and a half. At the moment, namely in this country most of all infected people are registered per million people.
The head of the Ministry of Health of Great Britain addressed Her Majesty’s lieges, reminding them to carefully observe precautions and social distance and not to leave their homes without the need.
Today, the Cabinet of Ministers of Portugal must decide whether to introduce a national lockdown for the second time in the country. Currently, the number of infected, according to doctors in Lisbon, is approaching half a million people, which is almost 5% of the total population of the country.
