Big presentation of investment and business possibilities of Turkmenistan will be held in Italy
The country presentation «Investments and business possibilities of cooperation with Turkmenistan for Italian companies» is planned to be held on July 7.
The online meeting will be organised by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Italy and General Confederation of Italian Industry (Confindustria) with support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy in cooperation with the Italian Export-Credit Agency SACE.
The initiative is carried out with a purpose to provide possibilities for investments and cooperation existing for the Italian companies in the country which is especially strategic partner for Italy, as is marked in the message of Assolombarda - the largest association of the companies of the entire system of Confindustria with headquarters in Milan and a number of provinces.
As organizers mark, trade of Turkmenistan with Italy constantly grows recently, and in the Mediterranean country appears more and more companies which do business in the Turkmen market or show interest in it.
According to Assolombarda in 2020 the trade volume between two countries made up 148 million euro, and basically it was connected with oil sector. Besides, in September, 2020 the bilateral agreement with Turkmenistan on encouragement and protection of investments, directed to expansion of bilateral cooperation and assistance to creation of the favourable environment for investments was ratified.
In the event to take place next week besides businessmen will include officials of Turkmenistan and Italy, including management of Confindustria and SACE.
This meeting is the precondition for the organisation of the following business forum Italy-Turkmenistan which will be organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy by autumn of 2021.
