Advanced Cyber Security Centre will be opened in Ashkhabad


Advanced Cyber Security Centre is created in Ashkhabad at the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan. The activity of the centre will be directed to the strengthening of potential of the country in maintenance of cyber security and safety of information-communication systems in the epoch of prompt development and introduction of digital technologies and wide use of global networks.
Rector of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan Nurnepes Kuliev told about it during his speech at the international media forum «Regional Dialogue with the Participation of Political Scientists and Journalists» which was held in a hybrid format in Ashkhabad on Wednesday, June, 30.

Creation of the Advanced Cyber Security Centre is conducted in cooperation with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the rector said.
He also expressed the opinion that in this sphere and productive interaction of Turkmenistan with the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), secretary general of which is Hadi Soleimanpour - personally took part in the forum of the Regional dialogue will be useful.
Nurnepes Kuliev noted a high potential for all countries of participants of the Organization in the field of exchange of experience in sphere of information technology and digitization of education systems on the ECO platform.

The rector of ITIT added that in 2020 the Innovative information centre of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan which mission consists in advancement of the Concept of digital education was created.
Among leading partners of the country in the area of digitalization of education he named the United Nations and such agencies as United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), UN Population Fund (UNFPA), the Development Program and others.
