UIET members shipped the first cargo to Kyrgyzstan as part of obligations under earlier agreements


The first batch of products was delivered from Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan, the supply of which was agreed by the entrepreneurs of the two countries at the Turkmen-Kyrgyz Economic Forum in Ashgabat on June 27, the presidential website of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan reports.
The cargo was transported by plane from Turkmenabat to Bishkek. At the airport, it was accepted by Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymliev, who stressed that this event opened a new page in the history of cooperation between the countries.

“It’s time to move from words to action. The cargo has arrived from Turkmenistan, which means that the implementation of the agreements reached has already begun. I hope that our cooperation will continue to expand in the future”, said the presidential administration representative.

In Ashgabat, entrepreneurs of the two countries agreed on the supplies of Turkmen vegetables, plumbing products and provisions to Kyrgyzstan. In addition, the memorandums of intention were signed for the supply of footwear and foodstuffs. The total amount of contracts exceeded 28 million US dollars.

The Turkmen-Kyrgyz Economic Forum in Ashgabat was attended by President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and members of the official delegation, including the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Economy and Finance, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Investment, Transport and Communications, Emergency Situations, Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy.
