Berdimuhamedov and Mirziyoyev discussed the upcoming meeting of the heads of Central Asian state in Turkmenistan
Presidents of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed by phone the organization of the next Consultative Meeting of the heads of Central Asian state, the presidential press service of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
The Presidents of the two countries agreed on the need for thorough preparation of the upcoming event’s programme, which is scheduled for this year in Turkmenistan.
During the conversation, the importance of increasing the volume of mutual trade, deepening Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation in industry, and intensifying cultural and humanitarian partnership was emphasized. The heads of state discussed the military-political situation in Afghanistan and exchanged views on the international agenda.
The head of Uzbek state also congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on his birthday, wishing his colleague sound health, prosperity and success.
