The Ministry of Finance of Turkmenistan discusses cooperation with the international financial institutions
Heads of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and representation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Turkmenistan held on Friday, January 8, online talks, having discussed the current condition and cooperation prospects.
The parties exchanged opinions on ways of activization of interaction, considered issues of participation of the EBRD in infrastructural projects carried out in Turkmenistan, mechanisms of crediting and other aspects.
On Thursday, January 7, in the same remote format there passed the meeting of the management of the main financial department of the country with experts of the World Bank.
Allocation of 20 million dollars to Turkmenistan within the limits of the Program of Financing of the World Bank for mitigation of consequences of pandemic COVID-19 became a subject of negotiations.
Experts of WB highly appreciated the work held by Turkmenistan on barring of penetration into the territory and spread of COVID-19, having noted that all countries of the world suffer today from consequences of the pandemic for economy and health of people and unite efforts in struggle against it.
The parties agreed to hold the following round of these negotiations next week.
